Hi,

I tried to update my firmware to 1.3.2 on my Spirit Pro but the minute I started the update there was no progress at all. The LED on the unit went off, and then nothing. I let it sit for over 10 minutes then decided to try again. It still didn't work.

I also tried starting the Settings program again, clicked 'No' when it asked about demo mode, then went to the 'Update' tab and clicked 'Flash' after selecting the 1.3.2 firmware file. The status went immediately to 'Recovery Mode..." But nothing happens after that.

Would appreciate some guidance.

Thanks

Hi,

can I ask you what is your operating system and if you have installed drivers from the Installer?

What is current state of the unit? Does it boot up normally or when you start the unit, do you see blink of the LED for a short time?

I am using OS X El Capitan, but I also tried to do it using Windows 10. In both the settings program hangs after I press Flash. In Windows I had installed the drivers from the installer.

The unit is completely unresponsive.

Edit: It does do a short flash when I first connect power

It seems the problem is solved. I had left the updating procedure running while I went to have dinner, came back and it had updated successfully!

Thanks for the quick response!

Great.

In this case, you have to use Recovery mode for the flashing.
Correct procedure is to start the software, select No when prompted for Demo mode, select the firmware and click the Flash button. Then connect a power supply to the unit. Flashing will start immediately.
