I thought the cyclic ring was used to adjust the largest travel of the servos, and not the rotation rate of the recovery flip or the rotation rate of the heli...
If you read the manual ( 1.3.2 page 34, cyclic ring activated, and page 41, cyclic ring tuning), we are advised to set the largest possible deflection...so

Not easy to decrease the cyclic ring without degrading the behavior of the heli. We must monitor the logs to see if the event "cyclic ring activated" occurs in flight without activating the rescue ?

Am I wrong ?

Not if you're getting cyclic ring errors. And the manual says to adjust as high as possible without binding. I don't understand why I have to tame down my cyclic just to achieve a slower after rescue roll rate. Seems like a simple solution that is highly requested. Am I missing something?

sorry, but this feature is not planned at the moment, because decreasing flip rate only for the rescue has no meaning. If you dont want to get boom strike, then you should really configure Cyclic Ring limit, because Rescue and Normal flight are using very same settings.
Thus it will be safe in each situation and at the same time, Rescue can be as fast as possible.

If there is parameter for lowering flip rate of the rescue, then there is greater risk of crash and on the other hand there is still big risk for boom strike during normal flight.
So helicopter should be configured for safe operation in each mode and adding next parameter makes it only more complicated from our point of view.

Can it be programmed to decrease the cyclic ring only when flipping after the recovery delay?

Anyone know how this is accomplished on competing FBL units?

Hi Kmaluo,
on the BeastX Pro V4 the rescue is activated through a separate channel.
The flip rate (speed of flip) is configurable through the negative tail gain value activated during rescue.
Useful was the possibility to override pitch in the rescue modes - thus providing hight control to hover the heli after rescue and calm down the nerves.
I used the V4 on my trex450 before changeing to the Spirit.

Yes !: I fly at low and middle rpm, and when doing the rescue flip, the tail of my logo 600 turns about 30° sometimes.

My tail blades are edge 105 , tail servo is RJX HV with the gain set at the max without tail wag during funnel, I have reduced the rescue pitch (50%) and the cyclic limits are at 160, the rescue negative gain is the same as the HL gain, but despite all of these settings, the tail do not hold well sometims, during the rescue flip.

I will try to lower a bit more the cyclic ring, but according to me , the best solution could be a new setting for lowering the rescue flip rate, used in combination with the acro delay adjustement.
