Problem: When a different receiver is selected on the General tab, channel mapping is reset to default. Suggested solution: Do not reset the channel mapping.
Some receivers support more than one protocol (example: Jeti can be configured to use PPM or UDI even without a wiring change, and EX Bus after a wiring change). Channel mapping in the receiver stays the same regardless of what protocol it is configured to use. Hence, resetting the channel mapping is a disruption.

Thank you for your suggestion.
Unfortunately if the channels are not resetted then there is a big risk, that customers will be unable to figure out what is wrong when they are changing TX/RX. So this feature was added deliberately, because there were customers with problems. We are trying to make it easier especially for beginners, so we want to prevent a problems.
What I suggest is to not change channel mapping in the unit, but to change it in the transmitter.
Good transmitters have ability to change it - and actually it shouldn't be necessary to change it in the unit/transmitter from default settings (at least with Jeti). Unfortunately Jeti can change channel mapping according to Mode settings. Then it may not correspond with default settings.
So when channel mapping is performed in the transmitter you can use default channel mapping in the unit and switch between receiver types. You can also change radios without need of reconfiguring anything in the unit.
Also this operation is done only for single time, then you can leave the parameter.
