If I use my Rsat2 unit connected using EX Bus to my Spirit system am I able to use the remaining port for a servo? I want to be able to use a remote glow system plugged in directly.

Yes, it should work.
It is described in the manual of Rsat. You can assign channel for this port.

OK, must be doing something wrong then so I recheck this. I can see servo pins listed for ,I think 16 channels in device explorer and have assigned the first pin to channel 8. Doesn't work though.

I have purchased the RSat 2 reciever also, but my DS-16 Transmitter is not recognizing the RSat 2.
I wonder, can I use the RSat 2 similar like a a Spectrum Satellite receiver, or is the Jeti RSat 2 intended as a second receiver? In other words, I must use a regular Jeti receiver, that I can configure to use the EX bus for the connection with the Spirit FBL, and I can use a RSat 2 receiver for a more secure transmission between the senders and the receiver.
Or do I have to use the PPM bus for connecting the Spirit FBL to the Jeti RSat 2, and then I do not need a full size Jeti receiver?
It would be nice to have similar solution like Futaba or the Spectrum satellites, but I can live with a full size receiver, if Jeti RSat 2 solution does not work like the Futaba and the Spectrum satellite solution.
In case I can use the RSat 2 with the Ex Buss together with the Spirit FBL, then how did you configure the RSat 2? Die you use a standalone Jeti Box, or did you manage to use the Jeti Box emulator built into the DS-16 software?

You can use RSat2 without any additional receiver. Either PPM and EX Bus will work. Make sure that your RSat2 has updated firmware. It should be only connected to the correct port. Configuration of the RSat2 can be performed from your transmitter directly.

I've contacted the Jeti support. Statement was, that the receiver must have firmware version 3.24.
I'm going to load the firmware into my receiver, and then I will see.

I've got 2 helis flying with Rsat2 and Spirit. Just plug it in like any other Jeti RX single line over to the Spirit. One is running UDI and the other is EX Bus. It can be configured in the device explorer in the Jeti DS16.
