Many thanks for a quick resolution to this problem. I haven't updated my Spirit yet (haven't had a chance), however my observation or comment is that I was hoping that I'd be able to also set switches. And specifically the Stabilization (normal) switch position.
best,
Scott

We hope that Jeti will fix their failsafe soon, so it will be possible to use Failsafe from their receivers always.
Unfortunately it will probably take more time, so our solution is rather temporarily.

Perfect.

If you are holding aileron, elevator or rudder stick all the time (even during initialization), then this position is calibrated as center position.
So if failsafe will be activated, then it will return to this center position.

Starting the unit with stick deflection is wrong as center positions are calibrated each time. If you want to check failsafe with these channels you should initialize the unit in the normal way.

I am powering up in the normal way, Sticks middle. So, the failsafe goes to neutral.
Just a point, I power up my heli with the pitch in the middle (Jive esc). If I power up with the pitch fully down will the Spirit remember this as it's neutral or does it ignore pitch? Thanks. And as they say.....just go fly.

Edit. Just read your above post. Going to neutral on a Heli is probably all that is needed?

Failsafe does not change Pitch value, because helicopter will mostly fall slower then with zero degrees collective pitch.

Sorry to labour this...... so FS will leave pitch where it was when the failure happened? So could be full negative!! It will crash anyway :?

In case of lost signal helicopter is mostly very far (~1km). In this distance you are trying to return the helicopter and you want to fly horizontally.
Alternatively you are flying fast forward flights. In both cases you are not giving full negative pitch.

If you are flying 3D, you are mostly very near so possibility for lost signal is minimal.

Hmmm....... There may be more reasons for losing signal. I think I will leave this here!! Thanks
