Well I've tried and tried and doing something wrong, again. depressed over this unit.

I've read the instructions, reset the model in the jeti, started over again and again, but whatever I try I'm not able to get the swash to move in the correct directions. and frankly it's ch1 that seems to be the problem.

ch2 is elevator - I can get that moving in the correct direction
Ch1 moving the wrong direction when rolling left or right
Ch3 can be made to move correctly, but never in conjunction with ch1

Jeti set to Mechanical, 120 degree swash, having touched any channels, haven't even set the throttle or bank channel.

Tried both ex-bus connection and UDI same condition in both.

running version 1.2

Simply don't know what else to try. Don't see anyone else saying ch1 is in the wrong direction. Not supposed to change it in radio... don't get it.

Swashplate mixing in the transmitter must be disabled.

Could you verify that channels in the diagnostics tab are moving correctly?
For example, if you are moving with elevator, only elevator channel is changing.
Same with other channels.

You can just try to swap CH1 and CH3 servos.
If it does not help, you can use CH2 & CH3 reverse in the Servos tab.
So then all servos should move together when moving with the collective pitch.
If you are getting reversed direction when moving with the sticks, then you can reverse such channel in the transmitter.
If swashplate is not responding as it should while moving with the model, then you can fix it in the Sensor tab.

It is very similar between other FBL systems.

When you will find how to do that, it is just matter of 1 minute.

The diagnostic tabs indicates single movements for all cyclic and rudder channels.
Swapping ch1 and ch3 didn't work
Reversing CH2 & CH3 Servos tab didn't work (to get the aileron direction correct)


I am able to get the collective pitch correct for all cyclic servos.

The only channel I read from the manual that could be reversed was the pitch channel.

I'll look at this statement later "If swashplate is not responding as it should while moving with the model, then you can fix it in the Sensor tab."

Thanks for the response, I should get this sorted out once I reverse a channel in the transmitter.

You can reverse any channel in the transmitter.

Manual says that you should not use subtrim in the transmitter for any channels except Collective Pitch.

Yes regarding subtrim I'm aware of the limits. However on the cyclic the manual is written this way:
If you cannot obtain the correct collective direction of travel in this section, try
reversing your pitch servo in your transmitter and then adjust your channel
reversing in the software as necessary.

So the way I read that it says "if you can't get the collective correct, reverse that in the tx, however the rest of the servo reversing is done in the Spirit software".
Knowing that the channel reversing can be done in the tx is helpful to know as, we now all know, I was very frustrated.

Thanks Frank, I had set the subtrims in the software for the Throttle centerpoint and gyro as instructed in the manual. Don't remember the actual percentages though.

If your swashplate is not moving, then something is wrong - if only collective pitch is locked, then the rescue mode is engaged. Your Gyro gain is negative in this case.

Hi there,

I already own a Spirit and it works fine. Now I bought a second one and I can't get cyclic servos to move correctly.

I have a Graupner MZ-24 and Gr-16, but connected as PWM receiver, as I am new to Graupner and I used my Walkera Devo receiver and radio with my other Spirit.

- in diagnostics, all stick movements correspond to correct channels and I have adjusted travel and center position.
- I have bank asisgnment correctly done, so when I switch to rescue, swash moves up corretcly.
- Now cyclic servo travel is different:
- when I use aileron left: Left AIL servo moves down, ELEV servo moves up, but right PIT servo does not move at all.
- when I use aileron right: Left AIL moves up, ELEV moves down, bur right PIT servo does not move at all.
- when I use nick (forward): ELEV goes up, PIT down, AIL up.

And I have CH3 on reverse in the Spirit servo settings.

When I use CH3 and CH2 reverse, then basically pitch movements induce roll servo travel, and pitch is down on right stick movements.

No radio-side servo reverse setting chnages anything.

Now I am at the end of my wisdom. I tried PPM and adjusted channel order, but no change.

Anyone any good avice on what to check next?
