I think a trim flight mode is needed! The only other gyro I have used had a simple solution that would probably take the Spirit coders a coffe break. The idea is to fly the plane without gyro involvment and trim it to fly staight and level. The other gyro then allowed to be restarted with a jumper in a specific servoport, which told the gyro to memorise the settings as the new "zero trim" . You then removed the jumper and reset all tx trims back to zero and fly with the gyro on again.
IMHO something very neccesary for fixed wing. Perhaps a easier way to do it?
