I have a E-Flite f4u Corsair and would like to know if it is recommended to mount directly to the foam with the supplied double sided tape, or would it be better to glue down a thin plywood base first then use the double sided tape to mount the Spirit Aero unit? The foam base seems too soft to mount directly to, just need some clarification. Thank you.

Hello,
it might work in both cases. So if it easier to use just double sided tape, you can try it. Mounting it more firmly will give a better results anyway. In the worst case it could induce some oscillations when flying.
