Just ordered a uSpirit that I intend to flash with the aero fw directly on arrival to go ina HyperBipe first but will end up in a PA Ultimate. I have only found 1 vid on YT and NO flying reports hardly yet so I will try my best to report!
Anybody out there flying one?

uSpirit is supported by Spirit Aero since v. 1.2.0.
This firmware will be released next week.

Hadent even thought of the present incompatability. Great timing! Anything else fun in the new fw?

Maidened, two packs and my initial feel is that the uSpirit with aero fw 1.2 works marvelously. 50% global gyro gain, no oscillations on any axis, rescue works perfectly! Will tune for max gain and guage for improved performance. This little foamie flew amazing despite gusty conditions. I could see the gyro fighting sidewind gusts kung fu style at 50%. Hovered almost hands off. A bit of coupling towards the lg in knife edge about the only thing I noticed. I wonder if a little mix can help with that? Getting ultimate precision in mounting the uSpirit 100% accurate proved a challenge and I am not entirely sure I got it totally right but the spirit worked amazing!

Hello,

thank you very much for nice report!
I hope you will enjoy it :)

You can try to enable Aileron Differential - just few percents. If I understand the problem correctly, this will solve the issue perfectly.

A couple more flights. I noticed I missed maxing out my limits in the config but now have nice rates. A little rudder to elevator mix took care of the coupling on the plane. The uSpirit is awesome, dying to get a PA Ultimate AMR to put it in.
I did notice something curious in the set up. I have dual rates set up in the tx and these rates are reflected when I check the servo output monitor on my DS-16. On the diagnostic tab in the sw, I am always getting +/- 100%. During initial set up, I just selected Jeti Duplex but never set any endpoints in the tx since I was getting full travel according the sw. Do I have too much travel but am not seeing it in the sw or something? My rates are set in three flight modes with 50,75 and 100% travel on ail and elev but fliping thru flightmodes I hardle see any difference in end travel!

On checking, the signal rates in the DS-16 and the software match. I could get up to 116% in th software with 158% in the tx but from 100% down to 0 the match is perfect. My sollution was just to increase the span to 50, 65 ans100% throw and now it looks better on the bench. The gyro being active affect throw on the bench it seems so visible max throws varied slightly when holding the stick in extremes and then switching mode. I guess this is normal. I also noticed that I have been flying with actual 40% gain (50% in the tx) so I upped that to 50% and will scope for even better performance and feel.

Great, yes - you are right.
It is similar as with helicopters - you will not see a difference on the bench too much.
