Would it be possible to somehow automatically disable rescue during the flight if the unit has lost sensor orientation due to vibrations or other reasons? If so could we be notified that it has done so somehow? It’s very disheartening to have rescue activate incorrectly and slam your helicopter in the dirt due to the sensors loosing orientation for rescue operations. Makes it hard to trust the rescue function .

No, this makes no sense. The unit would have to know the correct orientation to be able to detect something is wrong in the first place. In which case it wouldn't have lost orientation because it still knows the correct one.
With current gyro/accelerometer sensors there is no way to perfectly know which way is up in a model that's freely moving in any direction because you can't distinguish gravity from other acceleration. For normal flight it doesn't really matter because you only care about the current rotation speed on any axis so slow sensor drift from the start of the flight wouldn't affect flight. Rescue however needs to use a complex algorithm to integrate every movement from the start of the flight to keep track of the current attitude.
To make it completely immune to drift you would need different hardware, sensors that orient themselves on the world outside the model. Like a camera that detects the horizon or radar that detect the ground, optical flow sensor etc.

It is possible to detect only before or after flight. In any case if you ever encountered this problem there is very good reason for this in terms of model condition. Even with bad condition it should work well, but not with extremely bad condition. You can do a lot to avoid this problem by checking Spectrum Analysis tool. With tail blades measurement is the most precise. You can see if it is good or not. Normally with any flight style you will not encounter a single issue whatever your model is doing.
