Hi!
Just want to bring up some ideas and wishes that are of interest and hopefully find the way into your software or help to stay ahead of competitors:
(I know, the Wave isn't out yet and that therefore some things may already be implemented)
> Vibration analysis:- Allow an overlay of all axes in the vibration spectrum (differently and simple colored)
> Log stick movements of a flight:- This would allow us to review a whole flight. e.g. to review a crash situation and so on...
> Make use of the whole available screen:- Especially for telemetry values. Scrolling to see all the values is not possible/wanted during flight (like on Jeti radios)
- An auto-hide function for the 'taskbar' would give even more space
> Issue Wizard (or better: An Akinator (=App) style wizard):- E.g. let's say you have a wobbling head during tail down Tic-Tocs. This wizard provides settings or suggestions to solve your problem after answering pre-defined questions. This is another step ahead.
- Fiddling around with a huge number of parameters that additionally influence each other isn't easy nor beginner-friendly
> Remove/Replace the Dial and Slider widgets:- It is very hard to make single steps with it. E.g. a LineEdit or Spin-Box would provide a better usability
- Additionally, it is very old-school. Kind of LabView back then...
> Wave: Allow scripting:- Would be awsome to have kind of Lua or better Python scripting functionality with graphical drawing capabilities
> Allow logical output to a channel
> Allow third party sensors to be hooked up to future Spirit units/receivers
> Settings: Refreshment of the overall look/experience to get a more modern representation (to get away from the old Windows look 'n feel):- Using material design
- Using more pictures for examples
- This can easily be done via a css file (Stylesheet) in Qt, without the need to change anything else. So it is quite straight forward and fast to adapt
> Larger font:- Providing a larger font in the Wave and in Settings => Or at least make it selectable for the user.
And no, I'm not old or have bad eyes , but one can read everything faster.
p.s.: I would be happy to talk about these and/or other ideas (just drop me a PM)
