Post subject:  Gov RPM from Telemetry

Hi.
I am using a hobbywing flyfun v5 with Spirit GOV in my Goblin700. I am using an external RPM sensor. Also the Telemetry works perfect. First i tried to get it working without rpm sensor because i thought the fbl can use the RPM Signal from the Telemetry stream because the rpm appears in the gov tab without rpm signal (only from Telemetry stream) but that didn't work. So is it possible to get it work only with the Telemetry rpm? Or is the updaterate to slow?

I believe that the Spirit requires the RPM signal to come in on the ail/pit/??? connector for the governor to work.
The data coming in on the telemetry is passed on to the radio and is indeed too slow for control.

You mention using a separate RPM sensor (as the funfly does not have a RPM wire) so I assume you connected it to the correct pin or was the question just related to trying to use RPM from telemetry?

I know. I connect the rpm pin to the middle pin of the 3 signal connector and it works great. But the question is only if it will work with the RPM over telemetry too. The update rate is 50 times per seconds so far as i know.

Unfortunately all telemetries are very slow for this purpose. So it is not possible :(
