Spirit is currently my very favorite FBL controller to fly. It is very well priced for all the features it offers. The self-level/rescue feature is arguably the best in the industry. The user manual is among the most complete of any FBL unit. The customer support is superb.

I enjoy the Jeti radio integration, but I feel it has room for improvement. When I make parameters changes using the Jeti radio, the current bank is not obvious in the display. This Jeti screen shot does not show the current bank anywhere on the display.




One has to go into the Bank Switching Menu to determine the Current Bank. I feel this is very cumbersome.

The Jeti integration also does not currently have a way to compare the bank values as in the regular Mac/PC software. I consider this bank comparison very important, and one of the reason I still bring my laptop to the field.





Please consider improving the Jeti integration display so that it becomes obvious which is the current bank I am making value adjustments/changes, and a way to compare the values in all three banks. This is a Jeti screen shot of Brain2 integration. Notice how this GUI displays the banks (Brain2 calls them setups) and allow for comparison of banks/setups values in an "easy to see" fashion.

Previously it was not possible to implement more complicated menus in the Jeti integration.
Fortunately now it is possible with the latest Jeti firmware updates.

So soon the update will be available to bring the improvements.

I would also be interested in accessing the Log Viewer via the Jeti radio. Currently, I have to (1) keep the Spirit unit powered after I land, (2) walk the powered Spirit/helicopter to the pit, (3) connect the Spirit to the computer, (4) start the Spirit program in the computer, and (5) access the Log Viewer. I would prefer to access the the Log Viewer after I land via the Jeti radio right then and there rather than carry the helicopter still under power to the pit to connect it to the computer.

I would also like for the collective to center itself when performing the (1) Pitch range, (2) Cyclic Ring (tuning), and (3) Geometry 6° (tuning). Currently I have to set the collective pitch curve in the radio to 0-50-50-50-100 to center the collective during the setup process. I have forgotten on more than one occasion to revert back the collective pitch curve to 0-25-50-75-100. I would be very helpful if the Spirit unit would automatically set the collective pitch curve to 0-50-50-50-100 during the setup of those 3 parameters.

Thank you for the ideas. Previously it was not technically possible, but we will see if it could be implemented in some way now - there are much more options.

Fortunately there is collective centering for long time (from the beginning).
You have to just click at the parameter labels - for example Subtrim (tuning), Geometry 6°, etc.
Actually doing it in other way could lead to imprecisions.

For closing the integration menu there is entry "Close the menu".
This replaced also the entry "Bank Switching via Tx".

I would like to have the option to visually compare Banks (column format seems to work well) and ideally allow for parameter editing in that comparison screen (as opposed to just being an uneditable, visually comparison only screen)
