Hi, I just setup my first Spirit this weekend. Went well and can't wait for better weather to try it out. I noticed some strange things and some possible improvements while setting up. -After the wizzard you are prompted that the spirit is not connected and if you wish to go into demo mode. Only thing that works is restarting the software. Also if you unplug the usb sys cable and put it back in you can't reconnect. Same thing, restart of software to fix. -Channel mapping is weird. It must have been a choice to look at it from the spirit channels but this doesn't make sense. I use sbus and thr for instance is 3, but that is already taken by cyclic. It's much more logical to have the channel mapping of your TX system and assign in my case channel 3 to throttle. -Why can't I use channel 8? I hate to use gyro channel for rescue, channel 8 for futaba is much easier to setup and that way you can have bank switching on 7 and use gyro for rudder gain if you wish. Can this be added? -in the wizzard step 3 theres a picture of the swash and how to connect your servos. It would be really handy to have that same picture in the subtrim page so you can quickly see which channel you need to trim. -maybe in the future it would be possible to assign a channel (or gyro channel) to a value (cyclic gain for instance or flying style) so you can tweak it quickly in the air with a Rotary switch. Spartan has this now and tuning your setup or trying different settings in flight works very fast. You can even set how much the Rotary switch will change the value so you dont go in extremes by accident. -Im pretty sure its very easy to make the picture for the sensor orientation a lot clearer -Labels with left, right, back, foreward at the throws calibration to -100 /100 just to make it more clear. -If you assign throttle, aux1 is sending throttle. This could lead to dangerous situations if you have your ESC connected in plane fast mode for external gov! This is why in vbar for instance you have to press a button after seeing a very clear warning about this....to use the channel to learn endpoints to your ESC. At least display a warning about this when assigning the thr channel. -In the gov tab you need to set the ESC THR pulse. YGE for instance has 200hz, 60 at which it is set by default doesn't work. It would be handy to have a dropdown menu there with the ESC's of which you know the pulse value. Also when assigning THR it would be wise to point to the fact that you have to set this in order for it to work. |

Hi, thank you for your report! We will take a look on this. Altough I can say that few mentioned things (especially reported as bugs) can't be replicated with our testing computers. Can you tell me what operating system do you use? Regarding channel mapping there is a difference, because each manufacturer is using own channel mapping. So channel X can be very different to the same channel with other transmitter. So it is hard to make it same, because somewhere else it will not fit. |

Maybe you can make the channel mapping dependent of the protocol the user selects in the wizard, so that for the manufacturer dependent protocols (S-BUS/EXBUS/UDI) with known order you can preset the corresponding channel mapping on initial configuration. When the user has changed the channel order in his/her Transmitter he has to do the channel mapping manually anyways. best regards Wolfgang |

Windows 7 and windows 10 on my laptop. I read on HF that more have the connection problem. Should it automaticly reconnect? Also if you go thru the wizzard and at an later point start the wizz again the transmitter type is not selected, all the rest of the values are still there. |

After the first flights one mayor improvement comes to mind : Cyclic agility is set from 8 to 16 and the tail 20. I find this very big steps. For example 13 for the tail is just to slow and 14 too fast. I sync this exactly to my sim. Can we have 1 decimal after . ? 13.3 13.4 for example? |

You can easily adjust rotation speed with Dual Rate in your transmitter to modify rotation speed with high precision for any axis separately. In the future there could be a bigger changes there. |

If not how should I do this. Im sorry but coming from vbar, the use of things like the gyro channel and dual rates im not used to using. In the future there could be a bigger changes there. Also please not all axis, ail and ele always the same please .. Hope its added soon, also the possibility to set a static tail gain when using rescue. Using banks with all settings in them is the way for me. I like a clean transmitter |
