What I'd really love to see Spirit do is make a new unit that incorporates a heavy duty power input with a failsafe switch Like the Brain HD, BeastX HD, and powersafe receivers etc. This could be as simple as a set of larger gauge (say 16ga or so) wires coming out to feed power into, or a dedicated port on the unit for a power plug.

Thank you for your suggestion.
Is there any setup where our cables can't carry enough current? As far as we measured the connectors we are using right now can handle approximately 20 amps continuously and 40 amps in peak.
Basically if you are feeding power by 2 or 3 cables with less diameter it could carry more current than just one higher diamater cables. You can check the tables easily.
It also depends on used connectors but our measurements were performed all together.

So the question is, if it is really needed because of some real problem or it is just wished because other units have these cables. Spirit Pro was designed to operate also with the biggest models.

For me it's not a question of current handling ability, it's simplicity of wiring. With my Spirit Pro in a fuel powered helis I have a battery with a single high current connector, going into a Perfect regulators safe switch duo (but any switch would be the same), then 2 leads going out to the Spirit, and another switch that actually turns the safe switch on. With the same heli and a Brain HD, It's battery to Brain, single switch. It's much simpler, cleaner, with less things to snake through the heli, and less things to fail to accomplish the same thing.
