Hi, I have a question about the 6 degree geometry tuning.

I get 6 degrees with the blades parallel with the boom measuring from the back of the heli.

However, if I measure from the front, I only get 5.2 degrees.

Witch one do I believe?

Swash is level, zero pitch when servos at 90

Thanks.

Hi,

please make sure that when ticking Subtrim (tuning) menu all servo arms are in the center and there is 0° between main blades.
This might be not equal as when your collective pitch stick is in the middle. For this reason it is good to verify first.

What is your current value for Geometry 6° when you can see 5.2°?

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

The current value is 78.

Then increase the Geometry 6° value and you will reach to 6° instead of 5.2°.

Okay, but what about the reading I get when measuring from the back of the heli? Should I disregard that?

Both readings should be same, just opposite.
When you will measure -6° in front you will get 6° at the back (on the other blade).

I just bumped it up to 90, now I get 6° when measuring from the front but I get 7° from the back.

The servos are at 90 when in subtrim (tuning) and also have 0° on both blades .

If your servos are indeed 90° to the main shaft, then it sounds to me like your swash is not perfectly level.

I would say servos not at 90 or there’s a bent swash or blade grips

Thanks for the help guys, much appreciated.

It's a brand new omp M4 and it's never been crashed. I'll go through the setup from the beginning to see if there's something I did wrong.
