Post subject: | Jeti DS14 Spirit Stabi Resque |
HI Here is my sollution of the stabi resque bank problem. i uses logical switches in Jeti TX,2 AND gate and 1 OR gate,3 switches,1 stabi sw-sc,2 resque sg(springloaded) and F-mode,banks sw-sa. I can take off whith stabi sw-sc=on and F-mode norm bank0,stabi engaged in unit.If i switch over to F-mode 1 and bank1 and live sw-sc on the output from and gate L1= zero and stabi, resque is inactivated. But in bank 1 i have resque set in unit.If i activate sw sg the output from AND gate L2 =1 and activate resque in unit.F-mode 2 bank 2 works the same as F-mode1 bank1. Hope i have been to help. |

Hi, I think that there is much easier solution. If I am correct, you want to engage Rescue regardless of active Bank. Am I right? |

Yes, Tomas, this is what I'm trying to achieve, on a DS-12, hopefully with one 3-position switch for both Flight Mode and Banks, and one 2-position switch (button) which would engage rescue whatever the 3-position switch is on. For example: Position 1: Normal / Bank0 - HH gyro, No Stabi Position 2: IdleUp1 / Bank1 - HH gyro, Stabi=Coaxial Position 3: IdleUp2 / Bank2 - HH gyro, Stabi=Normal Button engages Rescue (normal) I want to be able to experiment with different modes of stabilisation but have Rescue 'in case'. Thanks to Latjo-k for the above solution also - it gives me good ideas for my own setup. Andy |

Hi No i want stabi in F-mode normal bank0 and resque in idle1-2 bank1-2.This solution prevent from, if i forgot to switch off stabi, flying bank0 and switch over to bank1-2 that resque beeing activated. In this solution you can have stabi sw-sc activated Always if you want. |

Assuming the transmitter is Version 5.03 and the following: SA is the 3-position Bank switch. SG is the spring-loaded Rescue switch. Channel 7 is the Bank Function. Channel 8 is the Stabi Function. Bank 0 has Rescue assigned to the Stabi Function. The Stabi Function in Bank 1 and 2 will be always on. Setup Follows: Logical Switches: L3: Bank A) Control 1, Sa [Centr][Prop.][Rev.], Lin B) Control 2, Sg [Centr][Prop.], Lin Condition, AND L4: Stabi Func A) Control 1, Sa (Bank 0)[Rev.] (Note: Bank 1 or 2) B) Contorl 2, Sg (Rescue On) Condition, OR Function Assignment: Bank, Control: L3 (Bank) Stabi Func, Control: L4 (Stabi Func) Servo Assignment: 7: Bank 8: Stabi Func |

I'm sure it works for you but for some reason I just can't see it. in Spirit settings: CHANNELS tab: 7 for Bank switching, 8 for Stabi STABI tab: I have the function set to 'additional channel' (8) and for each bank: Bank0 - Rescue Bank1 - Stabi (Coaxial) Bank2 - Stabi (Normal) I set up the logical switches as per your instructions, but here's what happens: Bank 0: Channel 7 @ -100%: Stabilisation 'Configured (Channel)'. Rescue operates when button pressed. Good - OK! Bank 1: Channel 7 @ 0%: Stabilisation 'Configured (Channel)'. Stabilisation Engaged when button pressed - so the button needs to be pressed to engage stabilisation Bank2: Channel 7 @ 100%: Same as Bank1, Stabilisation only activated by Rescue button. I admit I'm having trouble with the 'logic' of your logical switches. I'll try again later when brain less fried (!). I do appreciate your help but so far I'm not smart enough to make it work for me. Cheers, Andy |

Hi Here is my solution to your problem. In the upper part is stabi activated all the time in bank1-2.And activate resque bank0 whith switch SC or SG(springloaded). In the lower part of the drawing i have added two Moore AND gates so you can switch on off stabi in bank 1-2. Status for switches is shown as filled rectangels, filled=on. Med vänlig hälsning //Latjo Hi Latjo, Many thanks for posting this. I set up the switches as your diagram (upper part) and yes, I get Stabi function at 100% on banks 1 and 2, but the rescue switch doesn't operate rescue, in fact it only operates 100% stabi. I'm now thinking what I need isn't possible, because the Channel 8 (stabi) cannot make a difference between STABI and RESCUE - or can it? Does it work by the amount of output, like the Gyro function? i.e. can a positive output on Ch8 operate Rescue, and negative output operate Stabi? it's quite possible I've misinterpreted the way the Spirit unit works. I'm sorry to still be having trouble with this - and sorry to you for spending the time for me not to understand it! I really thought I would be able to solve this but perhaps my 65-year old brain isn't capable....... Cheers, Andy |

Hi Fortune7 I try to explain, you can only have one stabi funktion/bank.In bank0 stabi or resque the same goes for bank 1-2.Stabi funktion Channel 8 is -100 100% off on,and is activated by a on off propotinal switch you chose. So you have to determine how you set it up. Bankswitching is done by a 3 position propotinal sw -100 50 100% and cant affect stabi resque funktion. I understand that you want to activate resque when you are in a certain bank stabi mode this cant be done. Its aways what you have chose in the stabi tab you can only set it on or off. Hope this help,by the way, i was 65 years when i started whith this hobby now im 69 and enjoying it every day. My suggestion is do it like i did in the first post in this thred.
