Post subject:  Elevator bounce: How to reduce it?

Most of my helicopters have a visible elevator bounce. Basically, the tail tends to overshoot whenever I go from pure (no cyclic input) negative collective to pure positive collective. I also experience this when doing aileron tic tocs. All of my helis have about perfect fore/aft center of gravity in ready to fly condition, and the swash is leveled at high/mid/low stick. I increased "Elevator filter" all the way up to "4" without resolution of the elevator bounce. To resolve this, I am thinking:

1) Increase Cyclic Gain

2) Maintain "Elevator Filter" at "4"

3) Make the fore/aft COG a bit nose heavy

4) Decrease "Flight Style" to make the heli behave more robotic

Please, let me know how to reduce or completely eliminate this elevator bounce.

Hello,

usually this problem happen when Cyclic Feed Forward is too high.
The higher CFF = bigger load for servos.
From certain point the servos are unable to perform as controlled by the sticks. So just by reducing CFF it will get better.

It is also very, very dependent on used blades and rotor head dampeners - if blades are more agressive, it will require higher Elevator Filter and/or lower CFF.

Can you tell me a details about your models? And also possibly attach a settings where the problem is the most visible.
