Hey, i have a question regarding setting up the governor. I mapped channel 1 on spirit to throttle, went into diagnostic tab and set the correct limits. When the throttle stick is at bottom position the value is 0%, when on top the value is 100%. Now i go and enable the governor. As soon as i do this, the value of throttle jumps to -24% and stays there, i cant move it. Is this the corrdct behaviour? The next problem is, that the motor while governor setting is turned on does not want to start untill the throttle stick is maxed. And when it starts it goes to full RPM and then goes back to desired. |

After you enable Governor the Diagnostic tab for throttle does not "work" anymore, that's normal. About your 2nd problem... after enabling Governor, did you save settings, powered off the heli and started again? |

I did yes. Is it possible that min/max values in governor tab have some sort of effect on this? To calibrate throttle range i had to put my min value on -140 and max on 110. edit: correct me if i'm wrong here. I'm using castle creations esc. Before enabling the governor i put throttle travel on transmitter on 100% on both sides (high/low). Then i went into diagnostic and corrected travel in transmitter so that slider was 100% in the spirit. I unplugged the power, put the throttle stick to max and powered back up. I changed the max value untill the motor started beeping, meaning esc recognised max value, put stick to low and changed min value until the beep. Upon further inspections, seems like this min/max values are the problem. Now i dont know how to set throttle range, because the manual says i'm not supposed to touch travels in transmitter, and if i change min/max on spirit it wont start the motor when the stick is low. edit2: seems like i was heading into the right direction, but for some reasin the first time i set min/max values they were not correct. I re-did the throttle configuration and now it's working. |

Yes. I started again with transmitter/throttle callibration and now everything is working fine. For some reason the first time i was setting min/max values they were at -140/110 and now they are -105/105. I think it might have been my mistake while programming, but it works now. |

I did check flight just now and i have some questions, again, regarding governor. I have 2 curves, one is at 50% and one is at 90%. For some reason when i first started the motor and hit idle up1 the rpms where correct, but when i switched to idle2, the rpms went down, when they sohuld go up. Guess i'm still not ok with this governor, will have to tweak it a little more. |

Had something similar, follow the Method B tuning procedure from the manual, the one where you lower Response to 3 and Performance to 1 as a start. Worked for me. |

That did the trick. I have some more tweaking to do with governor, but the thing is pretty much flying better than it was before! |
