Is says in the manual that servo arm needs to be at 90 degrees to the servo case and at this 0 degrees pitch needs to be on the tail blades.
Is this correct?
Shouldn't the control arm on the tail slider also be at 90 degrees to get an even throw as per the helicopter manual. This, in the case of a TRex 700 puts a few degrees of pitch automatically on the blades.
It doesn't look right with the slider arm off centre.
Is having all arms at 90 degrees and a few degrees of tail pitch OK for setup?

It will work in both ways - but this setup is mainly dependent on the tail mechanics. In case of Trex we recommend to set it as per manual of the helicopter to achieve the best performance.
Servo arm should be always at 90° in the midpoint - center position.
