Hi,

how does the autorotation bailout exactly work? As I understood in other discussions the Spirit should have such function.

I'm using the governor on a T-Rex 600 EFL Pro together with a Phoenix Edge 80 HV - the normal governor function works pretty good - the parameters are Response 7 and Performance 5.

But today I'm trying to deal with autorotation bailout. I have decreased the TC to 15% and almost down to 6% but every time I reactivate a TC with e.g. 78% the headspeed is going up slowly.

Can you please explain how to setup this function in the given setup.

Thanks in advance

Hi,

if you want to use fast bailout, you should stay above ~15% of the throttle. So then when you will switch the curve the change will be just matter of seconds.

Tomas,

Is it possible in the next release of FW to be able to set the re-arm throttle percentage in the setup menu, so that we can personalize it.

Thanks!

We are working on different solution so it can work always as intended.

But to stay above ~15% means, that the motor does not stop spinning - correct?

With the default settings, yes - for combustion helicopters it is necessary.

For electric motor + fast bailout you can use Min. parameter, basically you have to just increase it (to be under 100) so it will pass such 15%,
Then you should also lower hold value in your transmitter because it will be too high to stop the motor.

With this settings it can work as you wish. We are working on the straightforward solution so it will just work with the upcoming version.

I am anxiously awaiting the next version to see how the autorotation bailout works. Any update on when this will be available?

The Bailout in the latest version works in the way, that if the throttle is disabled and re-enabled in a period less than 5 seconds, than the spoolup rate is much faster.
So it is very simple and should work anywhere.

Thanks for the answer - can this time be configured. 5 seconds seems a little bit low when I think about a full autorotation landing.
