Post subject:  [SOLVED] Banks - Futaba 14SG

I have a Futaba 14SG. I have channel 7 on my radio set to Aux1 to SG switch.
Bank 0 I have Rescue.
Bank 1 I have Stabilisation mode.
Bank 2 Disabled.

Also have IDLEUP3 to switch SH.

So if I fly with switch SG down, which is Bank 0 with Rescue, doesn't
that mean that rescue is on all the time?

or do I fly with SG switch up to Bank 2 Disable and than hit swithch SH when Rescue is needed?
Thanks

This depends on when you are switching to negative gyro gain.
Only negative gyro gain can activate special function thus as the rescue or stabilisation modes.

You have to be always in Bank 1 if you want to be able to activate the rescue.

Maybe you want to check our Futaba guide where you can find necessary information.

Thank you for replying.
I have read your Setup Guide for Futaba several times over. Everything is always easy once you know how to do it right?
Okay I understand what your are saying. Let me see if this is right.
I am flying around and my radio switch is in Bank0 that is set for Rescue. To activate Rescue, I momentarily hit switch SH and that will activate Rescue
because it has a Gyro setting to normal rate of 60 (-60)correct?

Thank you sir for replying.
My next question.
Now lets say I want to try Bank1 which is set to stabilization. Do I have to fly holding the SH switch because it is a spring loaded switch
or do I have to select a different switch?
Thanks

I have figured it out for those who want to know. I had to change the SH switch to a 3 position switch so I could use Stabilisation without having to hold the SH switch.

hi,

you can use a logic switch with the T14 SG, to active iddle up 3 with SH (momentary switch) for the rescue mode, or with any other switch you want for the stabi mode. Both switch can active iddle up 3.

You can choose and set your bank switch to activate iddle 3 only when you are in stabi mode bank, and when you are in rescue mode bank, you can activate iddle up 3 with SH, (momentary switch):

Switch for iddle up 3:

LOGIC

SH OR SB (bank switch for me)

this is for icare.
Can you explain the process on how to get switch SG to turn on Stabi and Idle3?
I already have SG set to Stabi on position 2.
Thanks

I will try do do that , it is no so easy with my poor english...

When you choose a switch for idleup 3 condition, you must get this display on your TX:

Screen 1 :

switch

single

- -

You must change single by LOGIC and you will get this display:

screen 2 :

switch

LOGIC

-- AND --

First: you choose sh, with :
OFF
ON

Second: you change AND by OR

Third: you choose SG (which also change the banks) with:
OFF
ON
OFF

Normally you must have the bank with stabi mode and idle up 3 activated when SG is in the middle position (position 2) and you can still activate idleup 3 with SH if you need it, when SG is on position 1 or position 3 to select the others banks.

You can verify in Diag tab that SG in position 2 activates the stabi bank and idle up 3 (negative value for gyro )

Take care to not start up your motor if you make some test on the bench !

I hope it will help !
