Hi again, My RPM sensor is setup in parallel to a logger (EagleTree in this case). It's the same sensor that I received with my Aerospire, the same one that has been in the heli from day 0. Powered by 2s lipo, with RPM signal pin in PIT port. The sensor runs OK, logs OK on the aerospire controller. Also, as I twirl the head manually, I see RPM's of about 100-400 depending on how fast I do the twirl thing. Blades are off, ofc. Yet, I observe both very high and very unstable values from the Spirit s/ware. Here's a vid: https://www.dropbox.com/s/jwi0pokkrd8nc ... g.mov?dl=0 It's hard to hear, but I'm gently spinning the head with my finger, keeping a reasonably consistent speed. You can see the ET logger reporting ~450RPM, but the spirit reading is all over the place. I've tried with the ET logger disconnected as well, with no difference. What am I missing here? |

Hi, I am afraid but if RPM is too low, it can show zero or random values as the measurement is out of range. With hand it is nearly impossible to create RPM high enough. With combustion helicopter there may be big difference in Gear Settings so the measurement can be correct only in limited range. With activate magnets you can change measurable range a lot. |

I see a comment in manual about magnets. "In case that the Current RPM value is 4500 RPM measurement is out of range. It may be needed to change count of the active magnets." Does this refer to increasing the active magnet count? I have just one at the mo, but I could turn the other up the other way and have two. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
