Post subject: | Pirouette Compensation [Solved] |
Hello, Hope you are all well. I am doing my first set-up and things seem to be going OK ( have not flown yet!!). I cannot tell the difference when I switch Piro comp ( normal or reverse). I know I am missing something. I have included the links to two videos I did ( sorry for the poor quality and the fact that I am not keeping the heli in the same plane). Advice is welcome. Thanks http://youtu.be/Zl-2VRNuqCo (reversed) http://youtu.be/8XxrnHTPIUo (normal) |

Yes, that doesn't help about the videos. My apologies. I thought I changed the tab to unlisted. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zl-2VRNuqCo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8XxrnHTPIUo |

Thanks for your videos. It seems that correct option is Reversed for you. It is hard to see from the video - it is better to rotate the helicopter little bit slower while rotor disc is in one position without movement. You can check it very well on the table when you just yaw the helicopter by 90°. Cyclic should maintain still the same inclinaction with respect to the ground/table (not to your helicopter). So cyclic should look like you are not rotating with the helicopter at all. All in all if it is wrong you can still fly with the helicopter. To verify that it is very correct, you can try few stationary pirouettes. If the helicopter is not stable then it is wrong. After you are sure it is correct, you can use the Rescue/Stabilisation modes. |
