Just got my second unit and am trying XBus. Set TX to modeB and selected Srxl RX type. AIL and ELEV channel works correctly. RUDDER stuck at full right and pitch work correctly. GYRO and THROTTLE and bank switch works correctly. Anybody had the same experience as I really need to use XBus due to space required. |

Hi, you have to swap channels as the rudder channel is most probably at different position than expected. You can do so in the General tab / Channels. |

No need for swopping, it looks like it might be a software glitch as it now shows the rudder output correctly after I exited and restarted the software on my PC. All working now with channels correctly displayed. Went through the setup and found that after setting my endpoints to about 65% to get the 100% travel it now has far too little travel to get full pitch and the cyclic 6deg in the setup. Changed endpoints back to 100% in TX which shows 118% in software on all channels and setup was now correctly done with 12deg of pos/neg pitch and the 6deg of cyclic. Very strange that the software displays such a huge difference in TX throw between a normal PPM and SRXL connections. |

Good. But I am afraid that more than 100% in the diagnostics tab is incorrect thus helicopter can behave not properly. If it is not possible to reach 6° or 12°, etc. Then you have configured small throw or something else is not correct. In the Limits tab you can change some important parameters such as Collective Pitch range to correctly configure the unit. The difference is there because of different implementations by each manufacturer. So it is basically impossible to match same ranges between each transmitter. |

Adjusting endpoimts between 100% and 70% makes ZERO diffirence to the output displayed in the software, it stays at 118%. Only once you go below 70% in the TX does it change the output. This severly impacts TX resolution and the servo responses are very notchy. Maybe just make space for wiring to PPM RX and be done, but then I loose the ability to bank switch. Strange that VBar, iKon etc does not have this problem of large discrepencies between PPM and UDI interface. |

You should not loose resolution because stick data are transmitted with one order higher precision than stick resolution. So even you will configure 50% travel it should be very precise with digital protocol. You can use bank switching with all receiver types. Either PWM, PPM, SRXL or any other. |

Will try the XBus on my beater rather than risk the TDR. Want to both have bank switching and TX gain adjustment, not possible with PPM RX as I understand the system. |

It is possible with PPM very well, but it is not possible with PWM at the same time. |
