Hi All,
I just join the forum 10 minutes ago and new to here. Not familiar with rules/regulations in this forum but will tread carefully.
My Issue - cannot get the 2 DSM2 Sat Receivers (Sat 1 and 2 port) to Blink (bind mode) while connecting to the Spirit GT
I just updated the Spirit GT with the latest firmware. I then use the "SETUP WIZARD" and gone thru the whole 10 steps (DSM2 do not blink at step 4 after power connected, so I continued) and save the setting at final step (still no blinking after saved at step 10). I selected the DSM2/DSMX on the receiver type in the setup wizard I use the SYS port for USB interface to PC, then at step 4, I plug the power to RUDD port. According to instruction, it should blink after the unit is powered at step 4. But the DSM2 just do not blink throughout the whole process. It seems that the Spirit GT is not recognizing/acknowledging the DSM2 sat receiver (both DSM2 sat have been tested and works). I have tried different ways for the last 3 days in different sequences to try to get the GT to acknowledge the DSM2 (blink mode)but I was successful only once (with the primary Sat 1 connected only). But the connection was lost after i took a break and got back to it. Then I was unable to get the blinking since then. I would really appreciate if someone could advice me if I have missed something.
Thanks

yes, I did install the bind plug at the SYS port. there were no blinking of the DSM2 sat receiver before or after i install the bind plug into the SYS port.
I assume the bind plug is only effective when there is a blinking which means the dsm2 is ready to bind. But I did plug it in anyway in hoping the dsm2 will blink after i plug in the bind plug in SYS port.

Hello,
the problem is in the Frame Rate. Required Frame rate by your radio is 22ms - at least in the current settings. You will have to do special binding with 2 bind plugs - please insert one bind plug at the SYS port and second at the ELE/PIT/AIL port. Then binding should work.
Alternative solution is to limit your radio to 8 channels only where 11ms should be possible - tranmission there is faster.

Thank you for the suggestion.
I actually had tried both methods I try to bind with 2 bind plugs but nothing happened. I believe if dsm2 is not being recognized( not blinking) by GT, then it won’t work. But I did try even though it is not blinking with 2 bind plugs
I also force ix14 to bind in 11ms (a setting in ix14 allows me to do that) But still nothing happened as there is no blinking but I still went ahead with just one dsm2 at primary.
I think my main issue here is Spirit GT is not recognizing the dsm2 as dsm2 do not blinks After step 4 with power or end of step 10 in setup wizard
