Post subject: | [SOLVED] OMP M4 Max Telemetry |
I have been validating RPM Telemetry for 3 helicopters all using Spirit GTs and a TNC tachometer. The first 2 have Avian ESCs and the ESC telemetry was equal to the tach reading. Today I tried to validate an OMP M4 Max. The RPM telemetry was 2,000 while the tach was 1,400. The sensing divider was set to 21 because the Sunnysky 8110 motor has 42 poles and the gear ratio was set to 1 because the M4 are direct drives. Edit: Using an iX14 Tx and 4651T Rx along with Telem OMP cable pluged into the SAT1 port. What did I get wrong or what did I forget? Thanks in advance for your help. |

Hello, it is important to not set any Motor/Gear settings in the radio. It should stay at default values. |

Thanks for your help, Tomas. In Model Setup - Telemetry Utilities - Set Sensor Alarms - for both RPM and ESC, I set the Ratio to 1 and the Poles to Inhibit. The test results were spot on. The tach read 2000, 2200, and 2400 for normal, stunt 1 and stunt 2, respectively, and the telemetry on the iX14 agreed. |
