Seems like I recall seeing somewhere that the tape included with the unit is what should be used to mount the fbl to the heli. I've messed with other mounting approaches with a different brand but now moving to the spirit I'm not clear on the recommended tape. If it matters I'm using the GT and GTR models.

Hello,
we recommend to use stock tape. Each FBL unit require different tape because of different shape and weight. Our FBL units and supplied tape should work well with any type of model if mounting place is rigid with no wobble. Please make sure that no cable is touching the unit itself and bouncing over the case.
