Post subject: | [SOLVED] Navigating the new OS for Wave |
I am sorry to say that I am having problems doing basic flight mode programming without any further manual instructions. I have tried to set 3 flight modes for my helicopter: Normal / Idle 1 / Idle 2. I have tried to associate these with differing governed throttle settings and pitch curves, but nothing seems to be remembered or stay as programmed. This is the reason why I say I need a basic quick start with this new operating system! Am I missing something, is there a crib sheet somewhere that everyone else is accessing, or am I just stupid? Please don't answer that! Why can't I program basic functionality? Andy |

I seem to have set up the WiFi connection, but have probably got this wrong, because I don't seem to get web access, and is maybe the root of all my problems. I have no real programmability at the moment. I think I have inadvertently skipped an essential step - please help! Andy |

Why do I not get flight mode switching registered in my functionality, rather than a constant whirring symbol!! Andy |

This radio is totally useless in this state at the moment, whether it is my fault for not understanding something or a fault in the system. Without some text to suggest that I have missed something, I don't know what is going wrong. I have been navigating radio systems since the 1970's, surely I am not completely stupid? Please reassure me someone!! Andy |

I have been supposedly updating the receiver, so I suppose WiFi signal is working, but the get intermittent receiver bound/not bound, so not confident at all!! I need some clarity please. Have I got something wrong, or just awaitingupdate? Andy |

Andy Did you read the manual? https://manual.spirit-system.com/index.php?title=Spirit_Wave And there is FB group: Spirit System Support: (You will get advice there non-stop) https://www.facebook.com/groups/265561989756072 |

Yes I did read that, but trying to set Throttle curves for different flight modes did not seem to be saving my changes! Clearly I have been missing something, but will go back to it today with fresh eyes! Now the Spirit W1 suggests that it is no longer bound, and will not bind! Trying to bind this (with bind plug in place) - I still have servo leads connected? The binding process just seems to whir around without achieving a bind! Blue light on W1 flashes but does not go solid with a successful bind! |

I have easily managed to bind a new W1 Unit, but the original seems to be bricked! I originally bound this first W1 Unit but encountered the above issues. Now I cannot bind it in any way at the moment! It flashes in binding mode but does not successfully bind. Andy |
