Hello,
Is it possible to bind 2 Spirit GTR with a JETI emitter (DC16) in double path mode ?
What is the compatibility with SPIRIT.bin and how the specific Spirit menu can handle 2 differents Spirit receivers (Spirit GTR) ?
Someone already try this ?

I would like to connect 2 Spirit GTR to a PowerBox able to provide SHV tension to servos (3S or 4S)

Thanks

Laurent

Hello,

I am afraid it has no meaning to use 2x Spirit GTR.
You still have to use output from only one.

You can use a secondary receiver connected directly to GTR or PowerBox.

Hi, unfortunately powerbox or any other "box" didn't provide a priority receiver, that means that the box can switch from RX1 to RX2 at any moment taking into account receiving quality of both receiver.
I don't want my installation switching from a gyro receiver (Spirit GTR) to a non gyro receiver !! You can imagine the result for an heli !!

I therefore could not install a real double path receiving as additionnal receiver is plugged on the "main' receiver and not on the box itself.

I don't know how to get a real double path for receivers as they have to be "stabilized" both (internal or external gyro) ?

Thanks
Laurent

I am afraid installing two GTRs to control same servos is technically not possible.
Since you are the first with this request, can I ask what is your helicopter?
Have you any signal lost events previously?

Using two receivers is required only if flying distance at least 500m far, however even with one receiver signal range coverage is up to 4 km.

This is a big scale vario helicopter with lot of money and time !
All is about security, failure of one receiver or RX cable or... Where full double path is more secure than a single path receiving diagram.
BUT I agree that the box can fail, a servo can fail, pilot can fail ( )....

I always used this kind of wiring for my big scale gliders (also expensive and time consuming), but here this is the first time that i have gyro into the receiving chain (between antenna and servos). For my 600 helis of course 1 receiver (spirit GTR) is OK (and they never failed !)

If somebody nows how to improve security in this area (cat B certification for >25 Kg models)

Thanks
Laurent
