When setting up my gt with my tx16s sbus i set rescue to its own channel which seems to open i dialog that says it has configured stabi. When i go to the rescue/stabi tab i can select either and when i move my heli it wants to level the swash which makes me assume that if rescue is set to a channel stabi is also active but then in the diagnostic is says rescue configured stability not configured.
Yet moving the heli would suggest there is some stability going on.

Is there no way to just have stability normal permanently on it seems. Every function requires its own individual channel and switch.

I have plenty 3 position switches but no obvious way to just use the one switch for different stabilities. As a novis moving from a beastx the instructions are written from the designers view not the novis. There is no idiots guide.

In stabi tab select ( select by channel ) option then go to general tab select channel and take from there. Channel / function options.

Looks like im all set up although i did find in stability normal my gyro channel has to be set negative if gyro channel is positive it seems to switch stability normal off. Is this correct?
I have set stability normal to be permanently on is it ok to take off and land like that? I know with other things like geolink i have to activate those once air born but im unsure what features can be active during takeoff and hover.

I'm not sure if gyro gain has anything to do with stabilization , unless you have set stabilization to be controlled by gyro gain. Set stabilization funcion on channel/ switch and see the difference in flight, you may like flying without stabilization. And yes, stabilization for take-offs and landings may help in the beginning. Set basic functions for e.g stabilization acro or normal, recue acro and of course sync you have GT set rescue auto.

Yes its the gt with geolink.
I have stabilization normal on bank 0 on a 3.pos switch so
bank.0 stabilization normal
bank.1 stabilization normal & position hold
Bank.2 rescue Automatic on channel & return to home. When i press panic switch it overrides to bank 2 and activates rescue function. If i switch into bank.2 return to home will function.
Everything looks good in diagnosing tab i had a small hover in bank.1 and 2 but while adjusting gyro found it acting a bit like flybared.
Went into diagnostic tab after to find gyro positive says seems to switch stabilization to configured(gyro gain)

Sorry but can't help with GeoLink. I'm not sure but using banks to switch functions is "old" way. I believe now days most pilots using channels for that and banks in my opinion may be used for different flight stile /tweaks and so on e.g :
Cyclic Gain, rotation speed, flight style. In my case, bank 3 is where I have values I have tested. Using bank 1 and 2 for tests in mid air.

That's my file thats linked to here. Although I believe its correct, I've not flown with those settings yet.
Its a new build, so proceed with caution.

@crashappy69
No problem, glad I could help :)

@jjuk
I hope you dont mind, your file was a good e.g for for function /channel setup. In your setup you have pitch range:110 is that 12.5* ?
