Hi guys! Im Having problems with rescue/return to home and altitude hold being extremely violent! In that way it selfdestructs my heli! Ive tried rescue smoothing at 10. its softer yes, but it has no control over height. It pumps up and down 2-5meter and tries to compensate for the lost altitude by gaining more pitch resulting in extremely harsh movements damaging my main gear.. why? How to fix this to achieve a stabile height while hovering? Spirit GT and geolink v1. All updated and calibrated according to manual. I also having some problems understanding why i need to use bank switching when i can dedicate my switches to stabi scale and stabi acro? Witch btw dont have any differences as all! They both feel the same. I fly FPV so for me to fly acro i need to turn off any stabi functions to have that free feel of flying acro like my drones. |

Possibly try re Calibrating/orientationing the GPS modual. Maybe it didn't pick up enough data points first go round |

Horizontal and vertical gain? Pitch pump/ elecatorpump? Does this have anything to do with rescue/ altitude/ position hold? MUST rescue and or altitude hold be combines with any stabi modes? Or it doesnt matter? |

I have written a lot of messages about issues with Geolink but don't feel like to complain again. I had the same issue. The major problem I had it just flew away from the "home location". Vertical jumps are still there...... it select its own altitude even though programmed to 6m. One time it's too high and other time is too low...... I wish there is more time spent with testing. |

It stops and fly backwards. I found out my 6c tuning was off.. at 8.6degree. Now its at 6, ill test out later today if that helps. Gyro is again calibrated.at least as i understand its finnished properly |

Hello, GeoLink functions are all based on correct Stabilisation behavior which require precise mechanical settings. So if there is imprecise positioning in horizontal axes it is required to fix the issue which cause imprecision. The issue could be caused by imprecise servo configuration. You can verify it easily in this way:
2. At this point all servo arms must be in the center of their travel range. As close as possible - any visible deflection is not correct. 3. At the same time swashplate must be perfectly level - you can check it really precisely only with Cyclic Leveler tool. 4. At the same time there must be 0° between main blades. You can fold ends of the main blades so they are near each other. They must be at the same height wherever you will rotate with main shaft. 5. Only after checking that all 3 are correct, verify that Geometry 6° parameter is configured precisely. In some cases ESC fan could cause such drifting. When Altitude is not held smoothly it could be result of incorrect Geometry configuration and mainly servo configuration - the same checking steps can be used for verification. We prepared Troubleshooting page (and are still updating it). There you can find step by step guide how you can proceed in this way: https://manual.spirit-system.com/index. ... tion_drift Please note we are testing GeoLink functions very, very thoroughly for over 6 years. But unfortunately variability of models do not allow to make it perfect without some requirements. For normal flying it is other matter which is also reason why model can fly perfectly but more advanced functions could not work well |

Ill double check that all tho i know for SURE everything is 100% level. Done it allready several times but i wasnt sure how to correctly setup my 6degree tuning. Doesnt show anybpictures of the position of the blad arms where thwy need to be for reading out. Anyway. When you switch to rescue OR lets say altitude hold. Do i also need to ably any stabi functions? Scale? Normal? Coaxial? Or does it automaticly apply by it self when i activate rescue? Ive seem 2 different behaviours with and without stabi. One is more aggressive and less accurate then other one |

Well guys.. i officially give up! I have deleted the altitude and position hold. And i really hope i never need the rescue! I KNOW for a fact my swash is 100% straight! I KNOW for a fact my 6degree tuning is 100% on spot! My heli is 100% stabilized in all directions .. there is no side or forward/back tilt. My heli is so fine tuned i can let go of my remote and the heli will hover in front of my face within 1m radious.. BUT! The secound i hit any of the geolink features, this heli just fu"cks off to the sky! I almost lost it 1h ago! Even my hover and rescue pitch settings are all down to 20% from 100, doesnt seem like there is any changes at all! Settings are just not changing anything! So ill just keep on flying acro/scale with the gyeo settings i have |

I am sorry, but this can happen when F: Stabi Function is enabled and/or Rescue function is engaged at the same time. This is not result of mechanical setup but channel settings. I can check your settings. But please create new thread because this one is about very different issue. In any case you can turn on and off any function instantly whenever you see something wrong is going on. So model can be instantly controlled by you again. |

IF i cant engage stabilisation or i can have any other functions active when im trying to use rescue .. how should i in case of emergency have time to turn off all my other switches and then turn on rescue/retur to home in time? Man should think that they would be able to work together. Whatever settings you have if rescue is turned on, rescue will dominate all other settings and do whats best for the heli at that time switch is turned on.. Right now i dont feel like spending more time to be honest. Every time im testing this i either damage my main wheel, im in great danger of damaging the heli or my self. I have tried every possible options. With stabi mode on, stabi mode off, coaxial on, scale on, only altitude hold? Also in combination with position hold. Nothing works properly. And return to home as allways is pumping elevation like CRAZY.. dropping up and down 2-5meters wich is very scetchy and not the least dangerous for the heli. |
