Hello, it is very hard to see if your opentx-Logic is correct or not - In my opinion all possible switch-positions have to be set correctly and no one has to be undefined - nothing may be open from the logic or a switch position - undefined states are to be avoided (this applies to banks as well as default values) otherwise there will be strange problems - just look at your outputs to see whether correct, defined values are always displayed - gyro has to go to the Example always be defined, it cannot be that the value is 0, but always in the range of 45-80% - In the worst case, you first reduce the complexity and then test again until your values or the the corresponding reaction is correct - I don't think that this is a Spirit problem, but rather a logic problem in the own programming of opentx/edgetx, i.e. a user problem - In the worst case I would advise you to set this up again in opentx/edgetx and test it again, you have to understand what you are doing - Regards Mattes61 |

Hello Mattes61, thanks a lot for your reply! I know what you mean. I have my x9d plus since years and i tested a lot. For me in this moment is only one point important. Maybe you can answer me this. The manual for the gyro settings are not clear to me. (Maybe im too old) The question is: If the value (Output) of the gyro channel is greater than "0", should the rescue function work? Or should the gyro Output be < "0" on rescue mode. Thats my problem. If the output is maybe 60%, my rescue function doesnt work. In the channel screen, every output looks correct for me. There is nothing overwritten or something. Im only testing in the moment. Maybe it is an understanding problem of the gyro function and im in the total wrong corner. Interesting is that if i add a mix to the gyro output so that it is on -100% if i toggle in my case swith "h", the rescue function works. In this forum there is somewhere a easys template for opentx in combination with spirit gt from a french poster. Nothing special. I tested this with a new model setting, but same effect. Opentx on my radio is the last version. Greetings, Mario |

Hello Mario, the question is how you will activate rescue, there are three possibilities first negative gyro gain - If you have for example 55 % you are in heading hold mode, if you set then -55% you will get "rescue" if you have choosed negative gyro gain for "rescue" and a bank - rescue stands here for all possibilities (stablisation, rescue, rescue acro and so on) - the other possybility is to activate it by a dedicated channel and additional use of the benches with different settings - Attachment: The third possibility is independent on Banks and you can choose all sorts of"rescue" with different Attachment: channels for each function - good described in the manual: https://manual.spirit-system.com/index.php?title=Configuration#STABI_TAB look at it carefully and in detail, you can also play through it in demo mode in spirit settings to see which settings are possible - Attachment: Regards Matthias |

Post subject: | Re: Problems with Banking and Rescue / Gyro |
Dear Matthias, thanks a lot for your explanation and your efforts!! My channel settings are exakt the same as in your picture shown. I have 3 banks over a 3 position switch accessable, first is stable normal, second is disabled (for normal flying) and the third bank is rescue normal. I have "dedicated" to channel" selected in bank 2. My momentary switch on the taranis "SH" is programmed to overwrite my bank select channel to 100%. So if i toggle my momentary switch automatically bank 3 is active and so the rescue function. And then the problem occurs.... My Gyro Switch (2 position) for the gyro channel is set to 0 = 60 / 1= - 60%. With this setting, im not able to activate rescue. If im in the bank tab, switching on the pc software performs without problems (bank screen switches all 3 positions) , but the rescue is in real at the heli not there. It is just in normal fly mode if i toggle the momentary switch. Is it possible that my setting in bank 2 "dedicated to channel" is wrong. I saw something interesting: Sometimes if i toggle the momentary switch the setting "dedicated to channel" switched to negative gyro gain, although i stored the settings for sure. In the moment i dont have any solution... I read the manual up and down... Thanks again and please excuse my bad english (50 years ago i learned in school, not that easy for me) I saw that youre also from germany. Many thanks, Mario |

Hello Mario, I think the problem is that you choose hegative gyro gain and selected by channel, this doesn't work ! Choose only one method, for example with a dedicated channel or only with a negative gyro value, then it will work! Don't use both methods at same time - Regards Matthias |

Hello Matthias, your thinking sounds good. This could be the solution. I will change my settings and test it. If it works, i post a feedback. Thanks again for your intense help! Regards, Mario |

Hello Matthias, your post was the solution! Everything works now like it should. As i thought it was an understanding problem. The manual is very focussed on the negative gyro function. An example like your photos would help people, who have never programmed a fbl system. Thanks a lot!! Greetings, Mario |
