After a flight this morning, I wanted to check the log. I didn't have my PC, so I left the radio powered on, and the gasser heli powered on and drove the 1 mile to my home. Plugged Spirit into the laptop, opened up the software and log and found only 30 seconds of data, as if the flight log reset. I was under the impression the flight log didn't reset until power was interrupted. Is there another explanation of why the flight log reset?

Hello,
this could happen if unit is running over 30 minutes. Then it will start counting from the beginning. But if there are some errors, then after power off the log is saved and you will see the error. So you do not have to drive with powered on heli. It will be saved in the memory until you will open the log (if an error was present)
