Post subject: | Spirit II Heading Hold vs Normal Rate Gain |
In the manual it says to use a positive gain value for heading hold and a negative value for normal rate mode. It says the same but opposite values are fine. I have put the gain on a trim knob and then use a switch to invert the value. So I can dial the knob to get the appropriate gain for HH, and then no matter what that is, if I flip the switch, it will go to that same value except negative. So from +80% to -80% for example. I do not have any stabilization set up yet. So is this correct? I will go from HH to normal rate mode with the switch and everything should be ok? When in rate mode will the tail just sort of follow behind me during fast forward flight like it did on my old Concept 30 with the mechanical gyro? Thanks - I've been out of helicopters for a very long time so this is all quite new to me. |

You are right, but when you will set a stabilisation or Rescue mode in the Stabi/Function parameter, then Gyro Mode will be in Heading Hold always. So tail will hold as with positive gyro gain. |
