Seems cut and dry but can someone confirm this for me? From the manual:
When heading to North, you should see approximately 90 +/- 4°. Measured value should not be far from this.
After my calibration its reading 355 when the nose of the helicopter is pointed north. So this is not right I assume, it should read 90 or real close?
Thank you

this is what the manual says exactly

2.1 How to check
To verify that GeoLink is calibrated correctly for your area, please launch the Spirit Settings and open GeoLink settings window. At Info tab you can see current Heading value.

Please place the model or just GeoLink to the North as close as possible, so that flight direction of the model is front of the arrow. Ideally compare to an analogue compass.

When heading to North, you should see approximately 90 +/- 4°. Measured value should not be far from this. If so, please perform Compass Calibration again

The question from the original poster is why should we see 90 degrees when the helicopter is pointing to the north? Most people would expect to see approximately 0 degrees (+/- 4)

Thank you jlgrebe, that is indeed what I am wondering. Ive done the calibration twice, Now when pointed north it reads 101-103 so I assume thats close to what they want. But I can not stop the glitching when the Geolink in engaged. Without Geolink its awesome. I will keep trying and report.

because that is what is written in the manual :-)

maybe for tech reasons, the compass chip was mounted rotated by 90*
but this is just my supposition

Hi, what you mean with "Clitching?"

By glitching he mean movement of the swashplate when Position Hold is enabled on the ground. He thought it is not normal. But this behavior is correct and should be present always when Position Hold is enabled on the bench.
