Post subject:  Altitude limit not working with GT

Hi Folks,

Spirit GT flies like silk. Really impressive.

But I found out that "altitude limit" is not working with GeoLink.

It worked with Spirit II and is shown as active in the spirit software but it is not working.

Heli is ignoring flight level and goes down to Zero :-(.

Is this a known issue? Must I activate the automatic altitude limit (Barometer) now? I just want to use my GeoLink for it :-).

Thx Alex

I found out: If I activate "return to home" for a short time altitude limit seems to do....something :-).

Furthermore I can state (I use GPS Logger 3 as location add-on) that the altitude sensor of the Spirit GT delivers no reliable values (after flight I see at the landing point:

> GPS Logger 0 Meter (as it should be)
> Spirit GT 19 Meter

Second point is no problem for me, because I use GPS but just "for the records".

Hello,

I am not sure I understand it correctly.
But maybe you are trying to enable two different features at the same time.

First you have to decide if you want to use Altitude Limit from GeoLink or Rescue (Automatic) from Spirit GT.
Both can deliver similar function.

Depending on this, setup is different.

For example: if you want to use Altitude Limit, Stabi - Function can't be set to Rescue (Automatic).

Thx Tomas,

I wonder because it was working on my Spirit II.

I am only using Altitude limit. But it is not working.

If I am activating Return to home and deactivate Return to home again altitude limit is working.

I will try out next weekend again and will give more details.

Alex
