Post subject: | 550 bailout/stabalization slightly out |
Hi, Finally flew my 550L dominator for the first time today, really happy. However, bailout and stabilization both worked well until I had flown for a while. After a couple of rolls and flips and 1 bad piro flip the stabilization and bail out was about 30 degrees from level (bailout forced the heli up and to the right instead of just up). Is this a common problem? Is this a vibration issue? I cant find a vib log? is there such a thing? Thanks |

Hi, I have since replaced the mounting/foam tape and checked all wires and seems pretty isolated. Interestingly I tried it on the bench. I rocked the helicopter gently back and forth, then levelled it again and activated stability mode. The swash leans slightly to the right (tail in). This is on a bed, without the motor running, using a pitch gauge on the head to check I had returned the helicopter to it's previous upright position. I have tried extended signal processing and it made the movement to the right less pronounced but it is still there... Thanks |

Testing it in this way is unfortunately not correct. Bailout is learning all the time, but if you are not moving with sticks then it is not same as during a flight. For testing you can use method mentioned in troubleshooting page. Described test can even make inprecision even worse. |
