I just bought a Spirit wifi module and hooked it up with my Spirit II unit. I upgraded both units to 3.2.2 latest FW, the wifi is powered through port aux2 and tx/rx is going into SYS port with tx(orange) on top according to the manual.

I can connect to the wifi unit with both a iphone/android phone and my computer. I firmware upgraded the unit from my computer and I can connect to the web interface that is showing me 3.2.2 firmware at the top. When I enter spirit settings I get a "connection problem" warning on the top and it looks like it's trying to connect forever. What am I doing wrong? The android app also isn't connecting. The sys port works fine with the usb cable.

Edit: SOLVED

I found an old thread that said to remove the 1k resistors in series with tx/rx when using it with spirit2. I shorted them now and then it works fine again. I hope I didn't brick my unit for use with spirit gt when it arrives.
