Post subject:  Futaba 18MZ Setup

Hi,

New to the Spirt Pro and currently setting it up with a Futaba 18MZ. Firmware version 3.2.0.4.

If I'm reading the instructions correctly the Futaba patch cable isn't required on the Pro unit?

I'm working my through the Wizard...
I have setup my TX as a H1 Swash (Single Servo).
I have setup the servo frequencies etc. and checked my direction values to make sure the Spirit is responding to my Tx values.
I have adjusted the end point values to be at 100% using the TX.

It was all going so well, but with all that done I don't seem to have any collective control at all.

The swash is responding correctly to Aileron and Elevator inputs from the TX. I can see the Spirit bars in the setup menu responding to the pitch input and likewise in my transmitter I can see the pitch values changing but the servos on the heli are not responding to collective inputs at all.

Could this be firmware issue?

In addition, I'd like to use the Spirit to control my throttle (ESC). The throttle channel in my Tx is Ch3 which conflicts with the Aileron channel on the Spirit receiver channel setup. Do I need to reallocate my throttle Channel in the Tx?

Cheers

Lee

Just turn off Rescue mode that you likely engaged.
Then also collective pitch will work :)

This is all visible in the Diagnostic tab.

Assign Throttle to Channel 1 in the Spirit Settings and connect ESC to AUX1.

Hi,

Deactivating Rescue Mode worked, although I hadn't been into the main settings at all, I have just been using the wizard so no idea how that was activated.

Also setup the throttle okay, confusing with the TX channel numbers and those allocated in the Spitirt but I'll get there!

Thanks for the quick support.

Cheers
