Because of the vertical pins on the Spirit FBL I don't know how to mount it without wires interacting with the top of the canopy. The right side of the electronics case is for the ESC and the left is being used by a life pack and excess wires. Anyone running a spirit on a 550L Dominator? Some advice would be great, thank you!

I have a 550L and I mounted it in the top location the same as I had my GPro mounted previously. The worst I see from the analyzer at full throttle with the canopy on is spike just above 160Hz at slightly above 15 on the magnitude scale and it's about the same with the canopy off. One thing I did do though was cut off the rubber coverings around the servo connector that allowed them to sit almost a 1/4 inch lower.

Hello,

the biggest spike is coming from the rudder so cables shouldn't play any role in this.
Altough it is quite small, so it is OK.

Thanks for the reply! Yeah I removed the rubber off the servo plugs still seemed a little close for comfort but thanks for clearing that up. Do you use the rescue function? With the talon 90 bec? Just interested if it can handle it. Thanks again

Yes I do have rescue configured but I haven't actually tried using it yet I'm concerned about overloading the Talon 90. I've been debating switching it out for either the Talon 120HV or the HobbyWing 100A V3 both look like they would handle things a little better than the 90 under load conditions.

The hobbywing 100a V3 is an excellent ESC with an awesome BEC for $80. It is really hard to beat.

Another option is to add a capacitor on a Y cable to help with any amp spikes from the servos
