Post subject:  [SOLVED] Analyse of tail blades

Hi,

i have a SAB Buddy with a Spirit 2 and Spektrum telemetry. I hit the tail blades on landing, it was enough to chip a 1-2 mm at the end of the blade.

I did change the blade for new ones and now my Output % went from 10-15% to peaks of 30%.... So i think there is more damage then the tail blades...

I then tried the analyser by taking off the main blades and only keeping the tailblades on the grass and turned to the analyser tab and i made sure the tail blade where centered and started the heli to get some readings, i was not sue if the picture would show if Yaw or the 2 other axis so i got 3 png files and i saw one has a high %... it's think it's the Yaw axis.

I should have done the analyser traces when i assembled the heli to get a reference. I would like to confirm the 60%+ for tail blade means theyre is someting else to change ?

The % output is very helpful to detect any issues. I tried flying the heli with the broken tailblades and i clearly heard vibrations and the output % was even higher then 35%.

Here are my 3 graphs.

Thanks

Post subject:  Re: Analyser of tail blades

The mistery is getting clearer..

After my post, i tried without the blades and the results are very good, then i tried a different set of blades.. and it was ok as well... I tried again with the first new set and it was ok.

I remeber thighthning the blade to be stiff, when i put blade 2, i put them less tight.

Here are the snapshots with the new set and they seem ok. It's to dark to try a flight so hopefully when i fly the output % should be normal.

Could the too tight tail blades explain what i was seing in the graphs ?
I see the main motor, is that level Ok ?

Case closed, I did a few flights and the output % is now max 15% so my issues are resolved. The analysis FFT feature is really useful.
