Hello,
I'm running a Trex 700 with Geolink, Spririt Pro and Jeti Rex6 receivers. The Geolink is attached to a 2mm GFK plate on the tail boom. The altitude limit is set to 7m.

Yesterday I flew a long time, about 1 to 2 minutes on my back at a height of 30m.
Suddenly the helicopter turns around and was no longer properly controllable.
Normal rescue switched on, Return to Home activated and normal rescue switched off again.
The helicopter didn't come back, I had the feeling it was going away.
Everything switched off and flown back manually.

What was that?

The LED on the Geolink was shining normally?

Short inverted flights were always problem-free until then.

During some test approaches I had the impression that the altitude limit was imprecise or that it had already switched off.
Then on the next approach everything was ok again.

Is the geolink broken?

Greetings heli

Hello,

unfortunately from your description it is not possible to help you too much, you provided very little information to help you.

Can you describe what mean "Suddenly the helicopter turns around"?
What function was engaged at that moment?
Were you flying with some GeoLink feature enabled all the time?
Was it working properly previously?
Were you doing the same maneuvers previously?
Were you using these features for the first time?
Do you have any flight log from the unit?

It could be for example caused by too long cable or partially damaged cable for GeoLink.

I recommend to turn all GeoLink features off and then try only a stabilisation mode for several minutes. Will it work properly - will helicopter return always to horizontal position?
Or will it tilt to some side after several minutes?

The helicopter stands up straight and turned around as if falling below the altitude limit.

What function was engaged at that moment?
Altitude limit was active 7m height

Were you flying with some GeoLink feature enabled all the time?
Yes about 8 minutes

Hello
here is the answer to the questions

Was it working properly previously?
Yes, everything was ok before. Rolling loping turns were ok before.

Were you doing the same maneuvers previously?
No, but rolling loping turns were ok beforehand.

Were you using these features for the first time?
no, but this time I wanted to practice flying backwards. That's why I flew longer on my back, about 1 to two minutes.

Do you have any flight log from the unit?
Which one do you need from the jet sender?
The last log from geolink is from October 29th, 2019

I tried return to home 5 times and it was ok. Then followed for 8 minutes and returned to home again. This time he didn't hit the point but stood 20 m further away

What happens if the geolink loses the satellite connection when flying inverted? how does Spirit react then?

Hello
yesterday flown with my ranger with Spirit RS and new geolink.

After trying the Start Return to Home it was ok every time.

Then followed with altitude limit.
Loping roll turn everything was ok. With a 540 degree turn, the helicopter suddenly positioned itself horizontally and could no longer be steered.
Altitude limit switched off and flown back.
then turned on return to home.
he doesn't follow to the home point but behind me. everything shut down and landed.

What was that?
I have no explanation for this.
have attached the logs.
Greetings heli

Hello,

thank you for all the details.

To find the issue we will need to verify the last thing as I written in previous post.

I recommend to turn all GeoLink features off and then try only a stabilisation mode for several minutes. Will it work properly - will helicopter return always to horizontal position?
Or will it tilt to some side after several minutes?

It is very likely that there is not problem with GeoLink at all but if unit is disturbed and can't obtain correct horizontal position all GeoLink features, all stabilisation modes and Rescue will not work properly.
In that case possible solution can be found here:
http://manual.spirit-system.com/index.p ... ise_Rescue
Then if this will be fixed, GeoLink features will work well too. But first we have to find if this is the case.

Can you also take a photo of how GeoLink is mounted at the helicopter?

Are these two different helicopters or one?

Hello,
the manual rescue works perfectly with this helicopter, even after several minutes of flight time.
My question now is what triggered a rescue when I flew the 540 degree turn. The helicopter turned horizontally, Roll Nick could no longer be steered. The helicopter was 80m or more high and had just finished the 540 degree turn. At 4:35 I switched on return to home why the helicopter flew past the home point.
That is not clear to me, without the geolink function the helicopter flies immovable.

I worked through the instructions.

Was ok just have to make the flight today, last paragraph

Hello
I just flew 8 minutes without geolink function.
after the rotor stopped, the rescue button was pressed.
the swash plate remains exactly straight.
You can do that even if you don't press the altitude limit button.

I looked at the log again. the turn went to 120.1m my height limit max was set to 120m. has the height limit max addressed there?

I mean, a few days ago I flew a complete flight with no altitude limit and return to home would still have worked after 10 minutes.

I will test again whether this is the case and whether the height limit confuses the return to home.

greetings heli

Here is the installation position.
The hood is attached with magnets. The compass shows 90 degrees when the nose is pointing north. The cure was 17 degrees

Magnet and geolink don’t go together too well

Hello,
they are more than 15cm away. It has no effect on the Konpass. at least when I try it on the table.
