With RTH, altitude is a manual control which is really annoying when it's a long way away and I'm losing sight of the heli and need to return to home.
I want it to rescue to ~150ft then return to home, then hover at 50ft.
How can I set it to do this?
Currently, I engage rescue, count to 5, set throttle stick to 60%, then hit RTH, and hope it returns. Can it be all in one action on a switch?
Also, should hitting rescue override RTH ? If RTH is about to crash, trees, incorrect home location etc, my instant reaction is to hit rescue but it does nothing.

No, it cant be configured. But in future it will be possible.
Rescue has the highest priority, so it will override RTH.

IIRC rescue does not override RTH.
If rth is enabled, rescue does nothing.
I cant check this for a while as I crashed that heli yesterday (battery came unplugged lol) but that's what I remember happening.
Do you have a spirit red and geo in a heli that you can check this?
I'm waiting on parts for a few weeks now.

Are you sure you are engaging Rescue and not Altitude Limit?

Yes. Rescue is on a separate channel.

Just tested mine on the bench by lifting the heli by one hand (Trex 550x) after powering it up then carrying it away from the powering spot and selecting return to home. You can see the swash tilting towards home and when I select rescue, the swash jumps vertically upwards and stays there. So rescue is overriding return to home as it should on mine.
Working as it should on mine. I am using a dedicated channel to select rescue as well.

I like the idea, I use high rescue and RTH but are limited with the channels available in my radio, they are all used.
Let say I change the scenario a bit: first use rescue, then release rescue. Secondly: Can I then engage using the same channel and it will engage RTH and altitude hold so the heli will return and hold altitude while I relax a bit?

In fact if you could define a kind of scenario (cascade of actions) you would be able to do whatever you want with 1 channel.

Yes. The way I'd like it to work is when I hit rescue switch, it will rescue to predefined height, then return to home at that height, then position hold.
It might already be possible to do this if you engage Rescue, minimum height and RTH at the same time?
I can't try this for a few weeks. Waiting on parts :/

A simple massive improvement would be the ability to set the RTH height in the RTH settings. Having to control the altitude of a heli I can only just see is not ideal. RTH, for me, is used when the heli is so far away I can no longer work out orientation.
