I do have a problem, that some channels of the Hobbywing Telemtry are not transferred correctly. In my case the FEt temperature, which is even after 4min flight just around 38deg Celsius.

Hi,

i use two Hobbywing Platinum V4 120A on 6s-Lipo. One with an egodrift 4025 750kv in a Logo 600SX and one with a Xnova 4025 1120kv in a Voodoo 600.
In both helicopters a Spektrum 4651T is working. FBL system is Spirit Pro with FW 3.1.0

In both helis the FET temperature runs over 85 degrees celsius. I'm not sure, if this is a real problem. But before using the 4651T the Voodoo has a Spektrum TM1000 and a jlog s32. With these components the system never runs in temperature alerts. In german helicopter forum (rc-heli.de) are more comments from other members which let me suppose that there is maybe a failure the spirit units interprets the temp values. Can you please proof it?

A seconde issue is, that i don't have the BEC voltage in the telemetry display of my DX9 transmitter. In rc-heli.de I got the confirmation, that this issue occurs by others, too. Can you please proof it?

Hi to all,

coming from Brain 2 in combination with Hobbywing 120a V4.

Same Esc, same Motor, Telemetry values of spirit RS (temperature) are not trustful.
Before the datas where OK, changing to Spirit RS
shows 38°C on the table (normal climate condition of office room).
Within flight shows higher than 105 °C, but you can put your finger on it and feel slightly heating.

Seems that the data of temperature isn't correct.

Best
Manfred

Hello,

measurement is showing FET temperature, not the outer heatsink.
This is reason why you can put fingers at your ESC.
But it seems some people are confused from this. We will check if it is possible to give estimated heatsink tempearture from the ESC.

Hi Tomas,

it is not about if I can touch the ESC.
The FET temperature cannot be 38deg during all 4min flight. It should start somwhere ambient temperature, but even this is not the case.
For me it looks there is wrong mapping, because on other FBL such as Brain I have correct temperature, using same Hobbywing ESC and SRXL2 protocoll

Here's what I've got, which also fits in here:

Rex 550X
- Hobbywing Platinum 120A V4
- Spirit Pro FW 3.1.0
- Telemetry from Hobbywing via "Telem UNI Cable" to the Spirit
- Align 730MX Brushless Motor (960KV)
- 6S Lipo
- Spectrum SPM4651T SRXL2 Remote Serial Receiver w Telemetry

I took a closer look at a flight. The Spirit shows me a temperature of 36 °C before the flight, the Hobbywing tells me with the "Multifunction LCD Program Box" read a temperature of 28 °C. The ambient temperature is about 22 °C.
After the flight the Spirit shows me a temperature of 80 °C max (FET Temp). The Hobbywing shows me after the flight with the "Multifunction LCD Program Box" read 36 °C "Max temperature" and 39 °C "CapTemperature". My canopy is well ventilated and I mounted the Hobbywing cooling fan.

best regards

Hobbywing Platinum 120A V4 --> Firmware Version: PL-04.0.05 / Final / 05-24-2017 / 1. it improves the "heat" matter.
