My Goblin500 just went in. Just enabled extended signal processing to see if it would remove a constant nose up attitude during rescue. As I was lifting off the heli tilts backwards ( tail down) . I get hold in by the time the heli i standing vertically about a meter and a half up but forward elevator did nothing. All servos are working fine and nothing in the logs. Only thing could be the drop in temprature from about 20 to 0 degrees but I had no trouble flying 4 packs yesterday and my first pack today. Confused. I cheked esc and rxlogs in my DS-16 but nothing out of the ordinary.

Hi,
I am very sorry for your problem.

Did you checked if elevator was level during spoolup? I mean if cyclic was horizontal during spoolup?
In case motor is spooled and you have did some stick movement, cyclic will remain in this position all the time.
But if helicopter is without any movement, cyclic will level itself.

So it is very important to not move with sticks before spoolup at all or be at least sure cyclic and rudder is in the correct position.

It shouldn't happen because of extended signal processing, whats more, it should be even more resistant to any changes.
Temperature shouldn't be a problem. Spirit should work even in -20°C.

Hopefully we can determine the problem exactly.

If you are sure everything is/was OK and you wish to examine the unit, we can do so for free.
Unfortunately without more information I can't tell you what was wrong at the moment.

You can try to spin up motor without blades and check cyclic for any unwanted movement to verify all is OK.
Please check also the cables, especially from your receiver.
What protocol (receiver type) do you use? There is some chance that receiver can be hit by strong electrostatic discharge.

I am using a Jeti 3R on UDI with the spirit. I did check the flight logs from the DS-16 directly after the incident but there was nothing troubling with the rx and bec values I checked. All servos survived and are still working fine.

OK, thanks.
Can you verify if the unit has stored any log in its memory?

You can also check this: http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php ... ost5945718 but it is related to VBar.

Checked the log directly after the crash but no abnormalities
