I just finished checking after updateing from 2.8 to 3,2. # helicopters. 2-450 1-600.everything said it flashed. repower spirit just set there and red light pulsed, tried recover said worked repower ,worked then repowerd again and same thing pulseing light now it wont even do a recovery. Only the 600 went throught and repowerd and it works. Also 600 has geo did update on it as well now take outside to test and now with pos hold on servos just sit there and jitter constantly disconect pos hold and servos seem normal. Why cant they get this right for the price. Ive been with spirit for 4 years. Sorry. |

I and many others have updated without (too much) problems. As you failed two units maybe something is wrong with your USB cable? What Spirit units do you have? |

Do you run jeti and the original spirit units? Did you re-download 3.1 after the jitter bug was fixed? |

John, during development we have flashed all the firmwares for thousands of times, none failed, never. For this reason I would guesd problem is in the USB driver as described in our guide called Flashimg failed in the manual. For jittering servos, please see thread jittering servos. This was issue in the firmware for small units. Unfortunately even that we are testing for months it is very hard to find all the problems, especially since everybody is using different components and peripherals and their setup. This thread was originally about shipping so I will move it to the correct thread about jittering servos. |

The 2 units that are locked up are red units.I tried a new cable but no diffrence, this one was brand new with elastic still on it. They still are locked up, slow dim flashing red light on spirit unit. How can I unlock. wont conect and recover not work Locked up. The gittery servos are with spirit pro but only when geo pos, hold on. Another crash comeing. |

john1127, You must be using the original 3.1.0 firmware file that has the problem, download the current 3.1.0 firmware file again. I had a red unit that I had a similar problem with. 1. Download the latest 3.1.0 firmware file, because this fixes the problem. The files are named the same, so make sure you are using the one you downloaded today. 2. If it seems locked up, power up the Spirit without EX-Bus connected and reflash the firmware. I found that when I powered it up with EX-Bus, it would stay locked up, but without EX-Bus I could connect and flash the firmware. |

OK, maybe there is a similar problem with Spektrum satellites as we had with an EX-Bus connecton. The problem with old Spirits and EX-Bus would cause a similar lock up issue like you have seen. Hang in there because Tomáš will figure it out eventually. |
