Hello everyone Someone so kind as to make me understand rescue how it works? I have doubts the first 1) if I am flying in a stabilized way on bank 0 and I have activated the rescue on Bank1, does the rescue intervene? How does it intervene? If I am already with the leveled plate in hovering, for example, the rescue pushes me upwards according to the grades of collective that I gave it? 2)Can I assign an exclusive two-way switch to the rescue without using a bank? Does it work in special functions? Sorry for the trivial questions, I've been in spirit for almost 3 years and I've never activated rescue. I for now only stabilized flight, and that is already a great help. but I would like to understand if the rescue can be of help also to those who fly stabilized like me, or it is a contradiction Thanks to all |

With each bank you only get to choose one stabi function, so if you have chosen stabilization as the stabi mode for a given bank and are flying with stabilization enabled at all times, then the only way to have a 'rescue' set up in conjunction to that is a switch that changes you into a different bank where rescue is chosen as the stabi function, instead of the stabilization mode you normally fly in. Rescue (normal) will shoot the heli upward while leveling the disc to the closest horizon, upright or inverted, and then always flip upright at the end. Rescue (Acro) will shoo the heli upward leveled to the nearest horizon but not flip upright at the end, so if the nearest horizon was to punch out inverted, it will remain inverted. I am a little curious, if you are flying in stabilization mode, how you could possibly need rescue at all since the heli remainds leveled at all times. Your other question I'm not 100% sure what you are asking: But there are two options for enabling rescue/stabi function. 1) If the unit sees a negative tail gain value (note: the tail gain value still works as tail gain and ignores the negative value so -75 and 75 are the same tail gain, just one tells the unit to have stabi function enabled) So if you don't want to always have stabi enabled, you can set a switch that changes your tail gain from a positive to negative value, this is how mine is set up. 2) You can under the channel assign tab set any extra channel on a switch to enable or disable the stabi function. What you can't do is choose two different stabi functions in the same bank. |

Hi in fact I never even activated the rescue, because I didn't understand the sense, at least for those who fly like me in a stabilized way. The confusion she's born from certain notifications of the% of collective pitch in the bank comparison (I opened a thread also on this) viewtopic.php?f=20&t=3535 the rest of things I understood, I have a dx8 gen2 and I have the gyro unassigned on the radio but I use the banks on the spirit and there I always have negative gain .I did not understand the advantage gyro vs channel, that is if it is convenient to assign the gyro neg / pos with a switch on the radio(for rescue/stabi) or on the bank. Same thing for the stabi function, I have always activated it on all 3 banks, but always in the spirit and not in the radio. I'm afraid of flying without stabi function, and I wanted to understand if there was a sense to have both stabi on bank 0 and rescue on bank1 in case of problems, but it seems to understand that rescue only makes sense if you fly without a stabi function .... Thanks |

I solved, I set the gyro gain in the pos and neg on the radio,I tried the various combinations, but in the end it is more convenient for me to use the bank I prefer to use it in the software instead of having the gyro gain neg and pos on a radio switch the only thing that did not appear clear to me is when I enable the special functions, on 8 channels, I have no confirmation in the software, for example I move the flight style, I only see the slider in the channel tab, move, but the real slider the one that goes from 1 to 8 remains still. Thanks |

When using a special function you will only see the bar move in the channel screen. I believe when I had a channel for flight style it also displayed a number to the corresponding flight style value, in the channel screen under the blue bar for the channel. When I had flight style on a switch I had to play with the end points of the channel in my transmitter to get switch positions to equal the values I wanted, I never tried it on a slider or knob like you though. |
