Post subject:  Rpm Hobbywing 60 amp and Oxy3 Hovering (Solved)

Hi
Can I know if the rpm of the telemetry with spm4649 on my DX8GEN2 are correct? I have a big doubt, in practice I set everything, wires etc, and I enabled telemetry in the spirit, but in hovering with an Oxy3 with a 60 amp HW esc , it marked me 1,200 rpm. Ever possible? What should I change again?i have flat throttle curve on my radio 70 70 70 70 70,
and I excluded the governor for now.
I made a comparison with an app on my phone, and he measures (I think correctly) in hovering at 3,200 rpm,see attachment.

So I find myself with less than 2.000 rpm on telemetry. where do I fix?
Thanks

Hi,

you have to set Gear Ratio and Sensing Divider in the Telemetry window.
Do not set these values in your radio.

Then everything will be fine :)

Hi Tomas, it seems that in the tab I have entered all the correct values, but I find the rpm of the telemetry not exact.
my motor is 6 poles / 2 = 3, and my pinion 11.

but the rpm works exactly only if I use the governor of the spirit? or even if it is excluded should they be exact?

Now on the my radio i can see 1.200 rpm, it no exact, using the curves on my radio and with both governors disabled in esc and in the spirit

Gear Ratio is not equal to your Pinion but count of the tooths of Main Gear / Pinion.
Usually this value is written somewhere in the manual.

RPM should be same with or without Governor.

Tomas I'm having problems with the softstart, it seems that it doesn't work well, both with the governor enabled in the esc HW 60 AMP, and with governor disabled.
In case I want to try using the governor of the spirit, the one in the esc must be set as?
Option1 Fixed Wing
Option2 Helicopter External Governor
Option3 Helicopter (Elf Governor)
Option4 Helicopter(Store Governor)
Thanks

Hi everyone, I solved by enabling in my Hobbywing esc the Fixed wing mode, and then after the Governor in the Spirit. Now it goes well.

The Governor of the spirit is FANTASTIC and has really good Spool Up management
Thanks

Yes 12,7 is good. Does it mean the RPM is displayed correctly now?

Hello now the rpms are exact.also on the radio esc telemetry section I had to set the divider and the motor poles. the number in my case is 0.33: 1.but I didn't do divisions, I changed all the ratios until they were the same in those of the unit :D :D :D :D

I just noticed one thing that if I disable the governor from a bank if I am at 70% throttle or any other value, the heli takes so many rpms, takes curves and calibrates of the radio, it seems to me, but it seems twice the value , in the sense that the 30 throttle seems to be 60%, the motor is accelerating so much.

Its Normal? this behavior?
