Post subject: | Aileron Elevator Range |
Hi, an information who explains to me the relationship between the degrees of collective pitch and those of the Elevator / Alieron range in the soft of unit? In practice, I noticed that in my case, in order not to strain the front single servo(Oxy3) servo at the end of the range when I have the elevator stick kept at maximum, I hear the buzz that the servo has reached the end of its travel and if I don't leave the stick on the radio the buzzing doesn't stop I had to lower this value to 9 ° in the limits tab of unit, because if I carry this value at 10 ° and above, the elevator servo strains/buzz I also note that this is the only servo with arms not exactly 90 ° perfect compared to the other two arms of servo in phase 7 of the wizard, but slightly slightly, really not very much at 90 °, maybe 88 ° -92 °. so that degree of difference now I find myself again, as noise / strains if I raise more than 9 ° the range of the elevator aileron in the soft tab of the unit. This servo arm, when the servo is centered by phase n.7 (subtrim setting),in the wizard there is no way to center it perfectly at 90 ° on the servo. In the wizard I was careful the servo arms were all at 90 ° during the plate leveling phase, in step 7 of the wizard (servo subtrim setting). now I wonder since I have a total excursion of 10-11 ° both in negative that in positive, collective direction. The range of the elevator / aileron in the tab limits of unit, must be equal to or greater than that of the total collective pitch in general, or it can be as in my case also slightly lower? I apologize to everyone for my English I use the translator, if there is something that is not clear I will try to explain better. Thanks |

It can be slightly lower than collective pitch. It is important that servos can't bind anywhere so there is no excess buzzing at any point. You have to also check if there is no binding with the lowest and the highest collective pitch position + aileron/elevator sticks at max. deflection. If Aileron/Elevator range is too low then your model can't perform too fast flips/rolls. Possibly it could pitch up during fast forward flight but 9° might be still fine. |

Thanks to 9 ° /150 -not bind in any point, with mix of the maximum and minimum excursion of the collective and mix ailerons and elevator movements, but is there an ideal value to be respected ?, what relationship must there be if I have for "example" 13 degrees of pitch max and min, there is a direct proportion, between max / min collective pitch and ail / ele range?for example : I could have a 13 ° pitch collective max / min value, and 8 ° ail / ele range ,would be normal, or anomalous?
